Job Summary:

Applied Concepts, Inc., the industry leader in police traffic radar, is seeking an honest, mature and career-oriented Customer Service / Electronics Technician to work in the Applied Concepts, Inc. offices in Plano, Texas.   The position requires up to 25% travel.

Applied Concepts, Inc., is a Plano, Texas based electronics company, with 150 employees, specializing in Radar and Lidar speed measurement products and police video products. We were founded in 1977 and design, build, and sell all of our own products worldwide.

We are looking for an exceptional individual that can join our Customer Service Team to support and troubleshoot our complete product line.  We will expect you to help continue the company's tradition of being the sales and customer service leader in our marketplace.

 Job Activities:

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service / Electronics Technician will have the responsibility of providing support and troubleshooting for our complete line of Radar and Lidar products.

 If you have an Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school and one to three years related experience and/or training and have proven skills in these areas please read on.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Excellent Customer Service
  • Ability to manage multiple items and follow-up on open items
  • Accurately troubleshoot customer issues by phone and email
  • Accurately enter call log information.
  • Enter parts exchange and parts orders as needed.
  • Escalate issues as required to manager

 Desired Skills:

  • Radar and Lidar knowledge
  • Strong electronics knowledge
  • Strong computer / IT knowledge
  • Ability to read, understand and articulate schematics, manuals and other technical documentation.
  • Ability to quickly analyze issues and determine a solution
  • Customer care skills, including the ability to diffuse a difficult customer situation

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school and one to three years related experience and/or training 3-4 years of practical experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Pass a drug screening test
