Sports Radar Sales Manager

Sales Professional with a Baseball background

This is an inside sales position, you must either live in or be willing to relocate to the Dallas Area.

We are particularly looking for:

  • Retired Professional Baseball Player with sales experience
  • Professional Baseball Coach with sales experience
  • Professional Baseball Scout with sales experience

The Company:

Applied Concepts, Inc., designs, manufactures, and sells its Stalker brand of Pro II and Sport 2 radar devices used to measure pitch speed, bat speed, exit speed and other metrics associated with baseball and other sports.

ACI seeks an exceptional sales professional with superior technical skills to lead our efforts in expanding our market presence in the Sports Radar marketplace selling our best-in-class products to professional, collegiate, and amateur baseball and other sports organizations.

Job Summary:

This position affords the right candidate the opportunity to grow an existing business line from within a stable, profitable, and well-respected company.

Your will report directly to the Vice-President of Sales and communicate frequently with our Engineering and Customer Service departments. You will be expected to work independently, communicate effectively, make daily use of our CRM, and achieve aggressive sales and management objectives. ACI offers a unique opportunity with growth potential. You must be a motivated, exceptionally intelligent, energetic self-starter with superior verbal and written communication skills. You must be technically savvy and able to converse comfortably with coaches, scouts, players, and professional league university executives.

To Be Considered, You Must Have:

- Either a College or Professional Baseball background

- 4-year degree or equivalent experience

- 5 or more years' experience in process driven relationship sales

- 5 or more years' experience obtaining, evaluating, and managing channel partners.

- A proven record of meeting increasing sales quotas in a high-pressure, deadline driven enterprise and maintaining high customer satisfaction

- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Additional Requirements of this Position:

- Assist with the preparation of an annual marketing plan that includes an annually adjusted sales quota

- Maintain thorough, accurate, and complete records in our purpose-built CRM such that any member of the team can easily identify the prospects' status, requirements, sales plan, and proposed solution

- Provide monthly forecasts

- Generate and assist in new projects, delivering timely and accurate customer information and documentation to the engineering design and development team

- Build, and monitor your sales pipeline from prospect to customer with the singular goal of making ACI's Stalker Pro II+ and other sport products the worldwide leader

- Identify, train, support, and monitor distributors and resellers of ACI's sport products and services

- Relationship and value proposition selling, and effective negotiating skills tailored to maximize profitability

- Obtain memberships in product related organizations and seek representative roles where appropriate

Additional Requirements:

- Proven skills in planning, executing, and following-through on leads and cold-call assignments

- Computer Literate (MS Word/Excel/Power point/Outlook/Microsoft Streets & Map)

- Comprehensive CRM use

- A valid driver's license with a clean and verifiable driving record

- Pass a drug screening test

Preferred Skills:

- Passion for and extensive knowledge of baseball and other sports

- Ability to provide customers with demonstrations, and application and training support

- Training or expertise in one or more sales methods (such as Sandler or Dale Carnegie)

- Willingness to accept additional sales training and coaching
