Northwest Regional Sales Manager

(States of AK, WA, OR, ID, N. Nevada, & N. CA)


To be considered for this job, you must either live in or be willing to relocate to the Portland, Oregon area including the I-84 corridor East of Portland. Interviews will be conducted in the Portland area in February, 2019.

The ideal candidate has experience selling technical products to law enforcement agencies.  We want candidates who use their selling skills to develop deep customer relationships that result in the company remaining its strategic partner position and helping customers to improve their operations.

Job Summary:

Applied Concepts, Inc., is a Richardson, Texas based electronics company, with 190 employees, specializing in Radar products, Lidar speed measurement products and Video products. We were founded in 1977 and design, build, and sell all of our own products worldwide.

Applied Concepts, Inc., the industry leader in police traffic radar, is seeking a mature and career-oriented sales professional to work out of his home office and sell the STALKER RADAR brand of speed measurement products to law enforcement agencies throughout a six-state territory. 

If you have 10+ years' experience in face-to-face industrial sales with a willingness to travel 4 days and 3 nights weekly (via company car), and a proven track record of meeting sales quotas, increasing sales and customer satisfaction, then read on.

Job Activities:

- Cover a six state territory, working out of your home office located in the Portland, Oregon area including the I-84 corridor East of Portland.

- Travel 4 days and 3 nights weekly.

- Communicate with customers and factory personnel using your Verizon cell phone and by email from your "connected" in-car laptop computer as your travel your territory

- Develop and execute an annual territory marketing plan that includes an annually adjusted sales quota

- Maintain account records, history, and activities in a state-of-the-art Customer Relationship Management System using your in-car laptop computer fitted with a Verizon Air Card that provides high speed Internet access

- Provide monthly forecasting numbers

Job Requirements:

- Previous outside sales "Road Warrior" experience

- A valid driver's license with a clear and verifiable driving record

- Pass a drug screening test

Desirable Critical Skills:

- Previous sales production of $2.5M annually

- Previous track record in successfully achieving annual sales quotas

- Strong qualifying and closing skills

- Excellent writing, listening, and verbal skills.

- Experience selling to either government agencies or industrial customers

- Proven skills in planning, executing and following-through on leads and cold-call assignments

- Computer Proficiency (MS Word/Excel/Power point/Outlook)

- Extensive experience documenting sales activities within a CRM
